Arthur Rempel

I was born in the former USSR and grew up in the beautiful Lipperland region of northern Germany. After my apprenticeship I studied Theology at the Denver Theological Seminary in the USA. Then I moved back to Germany where I became the co-founder of the evangelical church "Kirche am Bahnhof Helpup e.V" and was active for 20 years as a pastor and in an honorary capacity in the church leadership. Parallel to this, I worked as the managing director of the Network for Research and Higher Education in Europe (GBFE) until the end of 2018.

I have been married to my wonderful wife Luise for more than 30 years. We have three grown children, two children-in-law and two grandchildren. Currently, we all live in Helpup near Bielefeld.

Every time I think about church, I feel a great passion for the church of God and her mission in and for this world.  Motivating churches and communities to increasingly be God's ambassadors of reconciliation and peace is a driving core idea in my life. It is also the reason why I have been a staff member of the Network for Peace and Reconciliation in the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) since 2018. Supporting the ministry of this network is a matter close to my heart.

Our call for support

We are very grateful if you support us and our Peace & Reconciliation efforts all over the world with prayers and with financial resources. Both one-time and recurring donations are an important and valuable help to us so that we can do this more than necessary reconciliation ministry.
